Freshkills Park will host its first-ever Discovery Week

 Freshkills Park will host its first-ever Discovery Week, offering park enthusiasts a chance to virtually explore the park’s spectacular views and unique landscape from home. Experience the landfill-to-park project’s ambitious transformation and enjoy FREE activities, tours, and educational and recreational programming. 


Follow along during a kayaking adventure across Main Creek or catch a glimpse of the park’s wildlife on a live nature walk. Enjoy virtual projects inspired by natural and engineered landscapes or tune into our virtual STEAM Activity Fair to learn about how parks are created.
