IMPACT WEEK

The reintroduced Miami Marlins Foundation kicked off its inaugural Impact Week on Friday, a series of seven events in seven days that aim to make a difference in South Florida's youth by creating opportunities to foster an active lifestyle, achieve academic success, and build leadership skills. As part of Impact Week, an online raffle auction - featuring unique experiences and memorabilia - is available for fans to participate in to benefit the Miami Marlins Foundation programs. Bidding is now available at Marlins.com/ImpactWeek.

Today's event was at Kensington Park Elementary in Miami. Brian Anderson, Austin Dean, Neil Walker, Curtis Granderson, Elieser Hernandez, Héctor Noesí, and Wei-Yin Chen joined Marlins' staff in assisting with Physical Education class, serving lunch, a back-to-school supplies distribution, and eye exams with Miami Lighthouse for the Blind and Visually Impaired. Tomorrow's event will be a school supply distribution at Lenora B. Smith Elementary School on NW 12 Avenue in Miami from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
