The New York Times Book Review published the 67th annual list of the 10 Best Illustrated Children’s Books of 2019
The 2019 winners are:
- “Small in the City,” written and illustrated by Sydney Smith (Neal Porter/Holiday House; ages 4 to 8)
- “The Lost Cousins,” written and illustrated by B.B. Cronin (Viking; ages 3 to 7)
- “I Miss My Grandpa” written and illustrated by Jin Xiaojing (Little, Brown; ages 4 to 8)
- “Another,” written and illustrated by Christian Robinson (Simon & Schuster; ages 4 to 8)
- “Child of Glass,” written and illustrated by Beatrice Alemagna (Enchanted Lion, $18.95; ages 4 to 8)
- “The Farmer,” written and illustrated by Ximo Abadia (Holiday House; ages 3 to 6)
- “Just Because,” written by Mac Barnett, illustrated by Isabelle Arsenault (Candlewick; ages 4 to 8)
- “Monkey on the Run,” written and illustrated by Leo Timmers (Gecko; ages 4 to 7)
- “A Million Dots,” written and illustrated by Sven Volker (Cicada; ages 5 and up)
- “The Boring Book,” written and illustrated by Shinsuke Yoshitake (Chronicle; ages 4 to 8)
