  • “Another,” written and illustrated by Christian Robinson (Simon & Schuster; ages 4 to 8)
  • “Child of Glass,” written and illustrated by Beatrice Alemagna (Enchanted Lion, $18.95; ages 4 to 8)
  • “The Farmer,” written and illustrated by Ximo Abadia (Holiday House; ages 3 to 6)
  • “Just Because,” written by Mac Barnett, illustrated by Isabelle Arsenault (Candlewick; ages 4 to 8)
  • “Monkey on the Run,” written and illustrated by Leo Timmers (Gecko; ages 4 to 7)
  • “A Million Dots,” written and illustrated by Sven Volker (Cicada; ages 5 and up)
  • “The Boring Book,” written and illustrated by Shinsuke Yoshitake (Chronicle; ages 4 to 8)
