President Donald J. Trump Celebrates the 150th Anniversary of the Completion of the Transcontinental Railroad

"We honor the undaunted efforts of the people who made this innovation possible, including workers of Irish and Chinese descent, as well as freed slaves, Native Americans, Civil War veterans, and Latter-day Saints.  Roughly 12,000 workers of Chinese ancestry worked to dig out a particularly challenging section.  Through blizzards and other treacherous weather, they blasted and chiseled 15 tunnels through the hard granite of the Sierra Nevada Mountains." - President Donald J. Trump Presidential Message

I love the sound of the railroad. Riding the Metro-North Hudson Line to New York City's Grand Central Terminal and the New Jersey Transit Spring Valley Line to New York City's Penn Station is a visual vacation with visages of a very vibrant Hudson River. Now, you are able to watch the 5 p.m. news on the train!
