Nyack in Black  & White: Race Relations over Three Centuries is published by the Historical Society of the Nyacks and the Nyack Public Library.  The book is for sale at the Nyack Library along side other Historical Society of the Nyacks literature! I read the book and it's interesting that I met some of the people discussed in the non-fiction book about Nyack's African-Americans at N.A.A.C.P. meetings.  Nyack Hospital, now Montifiore Nyack Hospital holds teh prescription to solving the illness of lack of video and text recording of African - American and Haitian immigrant, Jamaican immigrant, Haitian - American, and Jamaican immigrant history in suburban neighborhoods! I met Dr. Fletcher Johnson at Nyack Hospital! He probably was the first African - American physician at Nyack Hospital.  Then I met, Dr. Clements Osei, the first African African - American physician and the second black physician to work at Nyack Hospital? After him, I met the third Black Diaspora descendant physician to work at Nyack Hospital, his name was Dr. Peter Lawrence.
