I Watched "American Masters - Sammy Davis, Jr.: I've Gotta Be Me" Documentary on PBS (Check Local Listings)

"American Masters is thrilled to share Samy Davis, Jr.'s incredible story with a wide national audience on PBS, " said Michael Kantor, American Masters Executive Producer.  " He was revered as the consummate entertainer, but it is not well known that he was the first African - American to be invited by a president to sleep in the Lincoln Bedroom of the White House, and shared the first interracial kiss in a Broadway play. He was a pioneer."

The documentary was interesting because African - Americans faced discrimination in the entertainment industry; and now African - Americans are winning several Oscar® awards per show.  Sammy Davis, Jr. integrated our minds. As a three year - old child he danced and sang during shows - dancing to integrate social events.
