Nyack Hospital Renovating in 2016
Nyack Hospital, a member of Montefiore Health System and the Montefiore Hudson Valley Collaborative. The Nyack Hospital is expanding starting in the Fall of 2016. The Emergency Room will double in size and more space will be provided for patient care.
“We are committed to meeting the changing health care needs of those we serve, which includes being responsive to the underserved and vulnerable members of our community,” said Nyack Hospital President and CEO Dr. Mark Geller. “This initiative will help transform our health care delivery system by integrating access to primary, emergent, specialty and community-based care.”
Renovations will expedite care and refer patients to excellent physicians. $24 million dollars is the estimated cost of the renovation to the Nyack Hospital that will include an urgent care center to compete with other Rockland County urgent care centers and emergency rooms like, City MD , Crystal Run Health Care and Good Samaritan Hospital.
Dr. Geller said, “The development of a Medical Village on the Hospital campus strengthens our ability to offer ease of access to appropriate and specialized health care services within the Hospital or in the community. Providing appropriate alternatives to hospitalization, by linking patients to community resources that best meet their health care needs, will enhance our health care delivery system and reduce costs and unnecessary hospitalizations.”
