Certified Local Government Program Grant for Historic Places Application Deadline is January 20, 2017

Preserving historic lands  to show the future the history of New Jersey and  make New Jersey distinct from other states. Buildings and land that is part of America's history is to help remember the past architecture" archaeology and engineering, " read the Department of Environmental Protection's Historic Preservation office's website. Grants are available to organizations who need or want to keep historic buildings, historic items and historic land for historians. The National Register of Historic Places includes places managed by organizations that received grants from various entities. Historical societies interested in preserving land and buildings in New Jersey's diverse neighborhoods should consider applying to this grant.
