$100,000 to be Awarded to Non-Profits from The Travelers Companies, Inc.

The Travelers Foundation, the The Travelers Companies non-profit organization (NYSE: TRV) annual Travelers Excellence in Community Resilience Award is looking for awardees. The Travelers Excellence in Community Resilience Award is for non-profits who prepare and help communities after disasters.  $100,000 is awarded to the organization and is given during the Travelers Institute's annual “Kicking Off Hurricane Preparedness Season” symposium in June. The Travelers Companies revenues were about $27 billion dollars last year.


All Hands Volunteers (hands.org), a nonprofit disaster relief organization, and Team Rubicon, a nonprofit that leverages the skills and experiences of military veterans to deploy emergency response teams after disasters.“We’re looking for organizations that are advancing the country’s disaster preparedness and response capabilities,” said Ms. Marlene Ibsen, CEO and President of the Travelers Foundation. “The ability to effectively plan for catastrophes can make an incredible difference in the amount of time it takes a community to recover.”
